Michael is an entrepreneur and real estate technologist, who is happiest building opportunities with others. Right now he’s working to make real estate investment open to everyone as CEO of addy.
Michael founded addy because he believes everyone should have the opportunity to invest in property. Real estate has consistently been one of the most lucrative forms of investment, but the barriers to entry are prohibitively high for many — especially young people. addy exists to eradicate those barriers and make real estate investment accessible for everyone.
Michael ’s entrepreneurial journey began in 2000, when he co-founded Combustion Hosting (acquired in 2006). Following this, he founded Ubertor Realtor Software, which won the Most Innovative Web Service Award in 2009 from Inman News and was acquired in 2013. In 2012, he headed to the Philippines with his co-founder Stephen Jagger and set up OutsourcingThingsDone.com to provide virtual assistants to real estate professionals. The company grew to 150 employees, and Michael discovered firsthand the lack of affordable and usable HR and payroll software for the Philippines. He addressed this by setting up a company called PayrollHero.
